We meet in person for services at the Sanctuary at the Jubilee Community Center located at 432 South Goldthwaite Street, Montgomery, AL 36104 at 10:30 a.m. Sundays. The service is streamed on Facebook here<\/em><\/a>. The Chalice Caf\u00e9 follows the 10:30 service. Coffee and tea are available! Second hour follows the Caf\u00e9 at noon.<\/strong><\/h4>\n<\/div>

Plan to visit UU Montgomery on any Sunday at 10:30 am. You\u2019ll spend about an hour meeting people, listening to speakers, asking questions. Find out about us in the best way we can think of\u2014by just being here!<\/p>\n

During a Sunday morning gathering, you might hear a poem by Mary Oliver, a verse from the Tao Te Ching, or an excerpt from The Grapes of Wrath. We believe sacred scripture might have something to teach us about life, without taking it literally. Community leaders are always invited to speak about local issues and provide a chance to get involved.<\/p>\n

We are curious and compassionate thinkers, brave and bold doers, with wide-open minds. We have been leaders in LGBTQ+ inclusion, officially supporting equality since 1970. Whatever your background in religion might be, we realize that inspiration and wisdom can be found in aspects of many of the world\u2019s religions, literature, the arts, history, philosophy, and the sciences.<\/p>\n

You may or may not celebrate the Lunar New Year but, if you do, the color red is for good luck and dumplings are the things we\u2019re supposed to be eating. Since it\u2019s the Year of the Fire Horse we can ponder speed, freedom and energy.<\/p>\n

I think it\u2019s fun to learn about newe\u00a0\u00a0cultures and celebrations and why not embrace something new, especially if it doesn’t harm anyone.<\/p>\n
